×Virtual cycling is the act of taking part in an event where you complete a target value (Distance, Elevation or Time etc). When you complete the event target you are rewarded for your efforts.
Definitely! These are virtual events, so anyone, anywhere can take part. The only difference is that rewards can only be shipped to UK mainland residents only, as we don't ship internationality.
Events will also be based around UK time, so if the event cut off is 16:30pm you will need to complete the event by 16:30pm GMT.
Hell yeah! You must be 13+ to compete in an event, and if you're below 18 we highly recommend doing it with an adult. If you're a parent and concerned about your child using Gain+Glory contact us.
Don't worry, we all have memory lapses! You can reset your password on the Forgot Password page.
We can only offer refunds in exceptional circumstances and only when events have not started or ended e.g. You've broken your leg, the day before the event. If you feel you could be an exception, please contact us.
That sounds scary! And because of this, please contact us immediately so we can resolve your concern.
You can join as many events as you can handle at any single time. Just remember, that your ride data will only sync to one of your active events - Not all. No cheating now!
You can use any GPS cycling computer as long as it can record your required target. E.g. If your target is 50 mile, make sure that your cycling computer records distance. It's better to ensure you have full GPS signal before starting your activity.
For sure! As long as it records as a 'cycling' activity (Not a run, walk etc) then your okay to use a GPS watch. Just make sure that your watch is compatible with your event type. E.g. If your watch doesn't track elevation, but your event is to complete 2,000ft of climbing - You might be in trouble!
Whilst you don't necessarily need this, we recommend it due to the way Strava marks any activities without GPS signal as a 'Trainer' workout. This means you will be marked as doing your event on an indoor/static trainer on our leaderboards even if you did it outdoors.
You will receive an email once you have completed an event. But if you've not got an email, don't sweat. You can check by going to your account and looking at 'My Events'.
Yes, Strava accounts are required to automatically sync your activity data. We're working on this though and intend to roll out automatic syncing from Garmin and Wahoo software.
For sure! We let you choose when you ride, so why not WHERE you ride? You can ride outdoors, but also on static/indoor trainers. But please note that you will be marked on the leaderboard differently if you use a static/indoor trainer.
The only requirement is that it records time, speed and distance. If the event is an elevation event it will need to record elevation also.

To ensure you match the requirements of the event you've joined we recommend cycling at least 0.5mi more, or 100ft more than the intended target. Strava sometimes recalculates your activities data and this may be different to one shown on your cycle computer/watch.
If you notice any events that look fake or spam please contact us with the name of the event and the result that looks incorrect.
Use your favourite GPS cycling computer/watch/app and do your ride to your target distance or elevation etc. Once you've finished your ride, ensure you end it and sync with Strava. Then don't sweat, we've got you covered... Your activity will be synced from Strava to Gain+Glory.
If your data hasn't synced contact us.
It's quite simple.

Rewards are dispatched 7 working days after the event has finished, not when you completed the event. If you finish the event with 20 days to go until the event ends, you will still need to wait until the event has finished before we process the rewards - Speedy pants.
This is because in some rare cases rewards may be custom and require a bit of extra time to be printed.
Firstly, double check you've completed the event by checking the event leaderboard. If you have completed the event, and it's been longer than 14 working days after the end date of the event contact us.
